Global equities were mixed with the S&P 500 hovering near the 50 day moving average while bonds remained within a longer term consolidation range. Such price action is encouraging given last week’s news flow.
Somewhat of a multi-week repeat, but excess deaths as measured by the CDC continue to decline in a normally distributed fashion which is good news. Infection rates as measured by rt.live are not really moderating suggesting the stubborn nature of the virus.
The theme of winners and losers continues. Opportunities are available in this market depending on risk tolerance.
