Discussion –

PRICE ACTION:
Equity prices, as measured by the ticker SPY, and bond prices, as measured by the ticker BND, closed lower over the last week.

SPY    -0.43%
BND    -0.18%

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS:
SPY volatility is elevated but decreasing within an area of potential price consolidation.

BND price appears to be consolidating within a wide price range.

SENTIMENT:
U.S. trade policy continues to be a dominant factor in price volatility. Trade tensions cooled somewhat over the past week, sparking optimism among market participants. It appears too early to predict the outcomes of negotiations with individual countries, but it does seem likely that the U.S. wishes to avoid prolonged trade wars with other countries.

ECONOMY AND FUNDAMENTALS:
Economic fundamentals remain positive, with data suggesting the U.S. economy remains resilient in the face of trade-related turbulence.

All the best during the week ahead!
