Global equities struggled last week while bonds drifted higher. BND, the Vanguard Total Bond Market ETF remained below the 20 day Exponential Moving Average and 50 day Simple Moving Average.
Recent excess deaths as measured by the CDC remain relatively flat. During the last week, infection rates as measured by rt.live remained stubbornly high. Anecdotally, other countries around the world continue to struggle as the virus shows signs that it’s not going away anytime soon.
The theme of winners and losers continues. The longer term nature of the virus continues to solidify economic changes resulting from the virus.
